Krav Maga

Krav Maga

Sharpen your mind.  Strengthen your body. Boost your confidence.  Sulphur Springs TAC Krav Maga is more than a workout.  Krav Maga is the official self-defense of the Israeli Defense Forces.  It emphasizes instinctive movements, practical techniques, and realistic training scenarios.

Krav Maga classes at Sulphur Springs ATA Martial Arts provide self-defense training for students of all experience levels, shapes, and sizes.  Everyone can benefit from this training!  Studying Krav Maga is a fun, effective way to stay in shape, increase focus and speed, and learn to defend yourself. You will make great friends in the process as well.  Course curriculum provides students with high quality, internationally approved practical concepts, from the novice to advanced levels.

TAC stands for Tactical Applicaton Combat. Krav Maga is based on instinctive movements so they are easy to learn and easily recalled under stressful situations.  Krav Maga is not dependent on size, strength, or special physical abilities, so our techniques can be used EFFECTIVELY by men and women of all ages. Our classes will teach the practical application of the defense, not just the movements.

In the Krav Maga program at Sulphur Springs ATA Martial Arts, students will learn how to defend themselves against hostile actions, to avoid serious injury, and to overcome an assailant.  These skills have origins in Taekwondo, Kickboxing, MMA, Karate, and other popular competitive styles. Our Krav Maga programs are rooted in self-defense and personal protection which are very important in today’s society. Knowing and using them could be critical when a person finds himself or herself in a threatening and potentially harmful or lethal situation, an unfortunate but realistic risk in today’s society. Also, Krav Maga classes have one of the highest calorie burns in all of martial arts classes, making it a workout that could save your life!

Staff

Since the beginnings of martial arts in the U.S., the belief has been that once you achieved black belt, you were qualified to become a martial arts instructor. The ATA believes that just being able to do something does not make a qualified instructor. All ATA certified instructors go through a multi-year, three step process so that you know that you are being trained by a skilled and professional instructor.

Each leadership student must teach 300 classes, become CPR certified, become certified in Youth Protection, have a background check, and attend regional instructor camps taught by master instructors.
